Most Americans Voted For A Public Option In Healthcare

In the 2008 election Barack Obama campaigned on Healthcare reform, promising to provide a public option when elected. Barack Obama won the presidency, and though all those promises he made should not be unquestionably accepted, they should at least be regarded as having more democratic legitimacy than those arguments who oppose them.

There may be some Americans who oppose a public healthcare system, but a few loud town hall meetings prove nothing. Americans already had their say during the election, and most Americans said yes to Barack Obama, yes to a public option in Healthcare.

It's time Democrats start using arguments and begin fighting for the public option in Healthcare.
