A Place For Liberalism

"Communism forgets that life is individual. Capitalism forgets that life is social, and the kingdom of brotherhood is found neither in the thesis of communism nor the antithesis of capitalism but in a higher synthesis. It is found in a higher synthesis that combines the truths of both." - Martin Luther King, Where Do We Go From Here
The civil rights movement was empowered by individuals working tirelessly for a social cause. Facing the current political climate, with all of it's problems, voter apathy, corruption, dishonesty, and opportunism, I beleive the Liberal Party, a new Liberal Party to succeed must not only change itself but be the embodiment of a new movement for change. Our Party already has great principles and values, however the Party lacks the passion, the vision, and the organization to match them with the leadership Canada requires. I believe a new Liberal Party must come from us and be a movement for the social justice, for the change our country needs.
