From The Heart To The Crisis In East Africa

The crisis in East Africa is only a world away if the actions of your heart are limited to the confines of your chest. Of course if you can move your hands with your heart, if you can give with your heart, there is no distance your care, your charity, your love can’t cross. There isn’t a corner of this world your compassion cannot reach if you can act from your heart.

The drought affecting millions in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Somalia is thousands of kilometres away, but you can help, you can donate $5, $10, $50 or more to certain charities helping to save those devastated lives. If you donate before September 16 the Canadian government will match your donation, making your donation have an even bigger impact.

You can donate to many charities, one that I’ve donated to is the Humanitarian Coalition; you can find information about the crisis in East Africa and where your money will be going on their website humanitariancoalition.ca.

There’s a saying among the religious and it has a sentiment that should be held by all, and that is, “God has no hands, but your hands, he has no feet but your feet, he has no voice but your voice.” And whether you believe in a superior being or not, the idea that what is good, what is right, can only exist by the actions we take, is an idea that would make this world a far better place.

Please donate to help those in East Africa, please help to make the world a better place.
